What is the difference between a growth fertiliser and a bloom fertiliser? (click to view)

The NPK index shows the amount of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) in the fertilisers. Growth fertilisers are richer in nitrogen and have less phosphorus and potassium because plants mostly need nitrogen in the growth phase. Bloom fertilisers, however, are richer in phosphorus and potassium because plants consume more of these two elements when flowering.

- Before germinating, keep your seeds in an appropriate spot (cool and dry).
- Don't over invest in what you need for growing, especially if you're a beginner.
- Growing inside requires devices that allow plants to grow as if they were outdoors (lighting, artificial ventilation, etc.).
- Get the right layout for your grow tools.
- Don't put lights too close to your plants.
- Avoid excess dampness with proper ventilation.
- Don't trust urban legends, rumours or "tricks". Trust the experts.
- Don't over-do it with fertilisers or boosters.
- Make sure animals and pets don't get into your grow area.
- Periodically review your plants and grow devices.
- Keep your grow area clean.

What should I take into consideration when growing outdoors? (click to view)

- Think about the number of hours of direct sunlight.
- Don't over-do the fertiliser.
- Use the right size pot.
- Don't use black pots outside.
- Don't put your pots on surfaces that get very hot.
- Respect the cycles when watering and avoid the sunniest times of day.
- Check and balance the pH of the water.
- Avoid light contamination.
- Don't be impatient about the harvest.
- Flush the roots before harvesting and don't fertilise for the last week.
- Don't stress the plant (for example, moving it around or putting it somewhere with too much contact)..
- Don't use water that is too cold.
- Don't transplant while the plant is blooming.
- Don't transplant with damp soil.

- Harvesting too early.
- Indiscretion.

What effect do the phases of the moon have on harvest? (click to view)

We know this information doesn't have much basis in science but we decided to include it for those who are curious and because, despite its lack of rigour, many growers still find it interesting.
- Waxing: Favours growth of foliage and roots. If you plant a few days before this phase, your seeds will sprout faster and more homogeneously.
- Full moon: Little root growth and a lot of foliage growth. Not a good time for cuttings. Plants transplanted during this phase grow quickly and produce a lot of foliage.
- Waning: Fast, vigorous root growth. Slow foliage growth. Perfect for transplanting.
- New moon: Slow growth of roots and foliage. Perfect for resting, trimming, fertilising or staking.

If the optimal EC for flowering is between 1.5 and 2, can I raise it with calcium and magnesium to 0.3? (click to view)

If the plants aren't lacking in these minerals, it isn't a good idea to add calcium and magnesium to raise the EC. By applying these two compounds effectively, you can calibrate it but with that small difference. In theory, no serious harm will be done to the plants but it isn't recommendable.
